What is an Exit Clean?

It is a requirement of our Terms and Conditions that you leave the property in a clean and tidy state. You are not expected to prepare the property for the next guests but you are expected to perform some basic cleaning duties, typically as described below. (Even if you have paid for an exit clean or one is included in the rental you are still expected to carry out the asterisked* duties). Failure to perform these cleaning duties on departure will lead to a deduction from your security deposit.
*Wash-up as required
*Empty fridge/freezer/dishwasher & remove all perishable foodstuffs from cupboards
*Dispose of all rubbish and waste at the designated point
Beds stripped of used linen and used towels placed in bath
Clean BBQ (or plancha) and utensils
Kitchen and bathroom surfaces to be cleaned
Carpets and rugs hoovered. Tiled floors brushed and wiped

Cleaning charges vary according to the size of property but €30-50 for every bedroom is a reasonable guide.

Can I opt out of the Exit Clean?
Some properties offer you the chance to opt out of any final cleaning by hiring an 'exit clean'. It is quite understandable that some guests will not want to undertake any cleaning - it is a holiday after all.

If this service is available, the cost is stated on the property details of our online brochure. This service should be purchased at the point of reservation - we cannot guarantee that you will be able to arrange this service locally with the property owner or their representative.
